Bring us a drawing, image, or concept — we'll turn it into a finished metal product.
Casting, patternmaking, fettling, heat treating, art department — all under one roof.
Based in Glendene, Auckland. Serving clients throughout New Zealand and overseas.
From patternmaking through casting, fettling, heat treating and full art finishing — every service your project needs is available under one roof in Glendene, Auckland.
We cast aluminium, copper-base and iron alloys using three primary methods — greensand, hardsand and investment. Each method is selected based on your part’s geometry, quantity, surface finish requirements and budget.
Sand cores create internal cavities and voids that would otherwise be impossible to achieve. Our onsite core making facilities mean your complex cored castings are produced without relying on external suppliers — faster turnaround, tighter quality control.
Our team can take your idea and make a physical metal object in quick time. Whether it’s an architectural fixture, an artwork marquette or an automotive manifold — the methods used are developed with time and cost constraints driving the process.
A full suite of equipment for the efficient and effective removal of runners and feeders, bringing your casting to a finish you can depend on. Our team has the experience and willingness to meet your exact expectations — every time.
Molten Manufacturing serves a diverse range of New Zealand industries. Whether you need a one-off prototype, a short production run, or large-scale repeat castings — our team has the experience and equipment to deliver.
Propellers, jet boat parts, boat hardware, marine engine castings, fishing components.
Engine blocks, heads, bell housings, rim centres, badges, grills, turbo housings, sumps.
Bronze sculptures, mould making, wax working, patination, one-offs to production runs.
Pump components, manhole covers, drive wheels, mounting hubs, bushes, machine blanks.
Every job is different. Size, complexity, quantity, cost, surface finish and end use all drive the process. Our decades of experience ensure you get the right method — and the right result.
The oldest and most reusable casting method. Clay-bonded sand rammed in steel flasks delivers beautiful surface finishes and high daily production volumes. Ideal for non-complex, production-scale castings.
Resin-bonded sand creates firm, robust moulds for larger and more complex parts. Minor undercuts break away locally. A proprietary refractory paint delivers bronze finishes rivalling lost wax — at a fraction of the cost.
Ceramic shell casting from lost wax or PLA patterns produces the most faithful and detailed rendition possible. Minimal fettling required. Ideal for gallery-quality artwork, intricate components and high-accuracy parts.
Molten Manufacturing is a full-service foundry based in Glendene, Auckland. We melt and cast aluminium, copper-base and iron alloys for clients across New Zealand and internationally.
Most clients arrive with their own patterns — others come with just a sketch, a photo, or an idea. Either way, our experienced team can take your project from concept through to a finished, production-ready casting.
Patternmaking, casting, fettling, heat treating and art finishing — all in-house.
Prototype a single piece or run hundreds. We scale the process to your requirements.

When a job presents itself, many factors influence which process should be undertaken. An art piece for a gallery has very different criteria than an industrial casting heading to a machine shop. One thing remains constant — the requirement for quality and value.
Bring your idea, drawing, image or existing pattern. We discuss the right method, material and timeline for your project.
We can create patterns from scratch using scanning, 3D modelling, printing or traditional methods — or use your existing tooling.
Greensand, hardsand or investment — your chosen alloy is poured with precision and care to meet your exact specifications.
Fettling, heat treating, patination and quality inspection. Your casting is delivered production-ready or gallery-ready.
